As part of its ongoing efforts to support the labor market and empower Saudi talents, Bab Rizq Jameel, in strategic partnership with the Makkah Chamber of Commerce, organized the Seasonal Jobs Fair on January 19 in the city of Makkah, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The fair aimed to connect businesses that have seasonal workforce needs with job seekers who are ready for immediate employment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fair brought together 26 employers and was attended by more than 1,600 job seekers; 1,300 of which were employed. The fair also featured four enrichment sessions and provided 130 professional and legal consultations for visitors and participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fair was organized in response to the growing demand for human capital during peak operational seasons in the Makkah region, which witnesses accelerated economic activity across several vital sectors. These include Hajj and Umrah, hospitality and tourism, catering, retail, and other industries that require high operational readiness and the ability to recruit qualified talent within a short timeframe.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, Dr. May Taibah, Deputy Managing Director of Bab Rizq Jameel, commented: \u201cThe Seasonal Jobs Fair reflects Bab Rizq Jameel\u2019s continued role in supporting employment and empowering national talent, as we launch qualitative initiatives throughout the year that connect employers with job-ready Saudi professionals.\u201d Ms. Najla Safdar, General Manager at Bab Rizq Jameel, added: \u201cThe Seasonal Jobs Fair serves as an effective platform that shortens recruitment cycles and enhances organizational readiness during operational seasons, while simultaneously opening real career opportunities for job seekers through practical and fast employment solutions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, Mr. Fadi Dahlawi, CEO of Corporate Communication at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce, explained that the Fair represents an extension of the Chamber\u2019s role in empowering private sector establishments and enhancing their readiness for peak seasons, particularly the Hajj season. He noted that the Fair contributes to improving recruitment efficiency, supporting labor market sustainability, and raising operational preparedness\u2014positively impacting the quality of services provided to pilgrims. He also encouraged business owners to benefit from the Makkah Chamber\u2019s developmental centers and the programs and initiatives they offer in training, localization, and entrepreneurship, which help enhance business efficiency and sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the Seasonal Jobs Fair is part of a series of in-person employment Fairs organized by Bab Rizq Jameel throughout the year across various sectors in the Kingdom. These fairs represent a practical model of collaboration among labor market stakeholders, providing businesses with direct access to national talent and enabling them to efficiently meet their seasonal staffing needs, thereby contributing to business stability.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, these Fairs offer job seekers access to a wide range of employment opportunities, direct application channels, and professional networking opportunities, in addition to benefiting from accompanying workshops and enrichment sessions.
