Community Jameel Saudi Participates in the Regional IASP Forum

As part of its commitment to supporting national efforts to strengthening the knowledge and innovation-based economy, Community Jameel Saudi Foundation took part in the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation Forum (West Asia and North Africa Regional Chapter), hosted by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in Riyadh. The participation was a part of keynote titled “Regional Innovation Strategies and Economic Impact”.
During the keynote, the foundation highlighted its national efforts and programs to support innovation and entrepreneurship, including the StartSmart Competition and the Jameel DeepTech Initiative, and various programs supporting researchers and innovators across multiple sectors. These contributions help empower individuals, enhance their capacities, and nurture successful models by providing the support needed to achieve growth and sustainability in line with the goals of Vision 2030.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Mohammed Abdulghaffar, Senior General Manager of Social Initiatives and Entrepreneurship at Community Jameel Saudi, stated: “Community Jameel Saudi’s participation in the IASP Wana Division Forum reflects our strong commitment to advancing our empowering strategy, which aims to highlight innovative models and contribute to building a nourishing ecosystem that attracts investment and fuels economic growth, by strengthening collaboration between universities, government organizations, and the nonprofit sector.”
The foundation also showcased examples of the economic impact achieved through its development initiatives, such as supporting more than 520 startups, providing researchers and entrepreneurs with financial awards exceeding 4 million SAR, and funding scientific innovations to address national challenges in health, environment, and energy. This participation reflects Community Jameel Saudi’s ongoing commitment as a key partner in advancing national innovation, reinforcing its presence in regional and international platforms that promote knowledge exchange, and drive development in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.
