On the 5^th of February, 2023, Community Jameel Saudi Foundation was announced as the co-winner of the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work in its 10^th edition, during a press conference that was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. This accomplishment came as result of the foundation’s high scores in the Award’s rigorous criteria, which included the foundation’s comprehensiveness in serving all segments of society, the strength of its cooperative relationships with partners, the broad scope of its areas of development, and the great depth of its initiatives’ impact.

 

The press conference was attended by His Highness, Prince Saud bin Fahd bin Abdullah, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee and Member of the Award’s Board of Trustees, His Highness, Prince Salman bin Muhammad, a Member of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee, and Professor Fahd bin Hamad Al-Maghlouth, the Secretary General of the Princess Seetah Bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work. Established in 2012 by a royal decree, the Princess Seetah Bint Abdulaziz Award aims to encourage and support community development programs by the Kingdom’s public, private, and non-profit sectors.

 

Since the establishment of Community Jameel Saudi, it has shown great commitment to empowering individuals and addressing societal challenges, by focusing on key areas of development, such as Competency Development, Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurs Advancement, Community Wellbeing, The Environment and Combating Climate Change, Continuous Development of Education, and Humanitarian Initiatives.

 

Dr May Taibah, the Director of Bab Rizq Jameel and a Board Member of Community Jameel Saudi, commented on this achievement: “We are honored to receive this award, which is a testament to our pioneering commitment to serving the Saudi society and improving Saudi livelihoods. This accomplishment comes as a continuation of our long journey of achievements in philanthropy that began with the establishment of Abdul Latif Jameel more than 75 years ago. Hence, this award motivates us to strive further in our pursuit of delivering a positive impact to Saudi society, which we consider as the most significant honor bestowed upon us.

 

A significant part of our foundation’s success and great impact on society stems from our strategy’s alignment with Vision 2030 goals and objectives.
