Community Jameel Saudi Supports Orphans’ Aspirations Through Football
- Community Wellbeing
Community Jameel Saudi organized, in collaboration with Jameel Motor Sports and the Roshn League (Saudi Pro League), an initiative to support and empower orphaned children. As part of the initiative, orphans accompanied football players onto the pitch at the start of matches, spanning 20 matches and benefiting a total of 440 children. To complete this initiative, the organization partnered with several charitable associations dedicated to orphan care across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In its pursuit of delivering a unique experience for participating orphans and motivating them toward academic excellence, the foundation also organized the participation of orphaned children in the Al-Ahli vs. Al-Nassr El Clásico match, held on Wednesday, April 29, at Alawwal Park Stadium in Riyadh. During the event, the children wore attire representing the professions they aspire to pursue, symbolizing their future ambitions. This provided moral support and encouraged academic distinction. The initiative aligns with Community Jameel Saudi’s objectives and Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to support and academically empower orphans through programs such as the Tanweer Program for academically outstanding orphans. Over the past 15 years, the foundation has organized summer educational and recreational trips for high-achieving orphans to several countries, including Japan, France, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, and others.

In this context, Mr. Abdullah Talab, Director of Social Programs at Community Jameel Saudi, stated: “Our goal today goes beyond mere presence on the pitch; we aim to create an inspiring experience that motivates children toward academic excellence. Wearing attire representing future professions serves as a reminder that academic achievement is the true path to achieving aspirations. This approach aligns with the foundation’s long-standing strategy of supporting orphans academically and empowering them through our various programs.”
It is worth noting that, as part of this initiative, the orphans accompanied several international players participating in the matches, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, and João Félix from Al-Nassr, as well as Riyad Mahrez, Édouard Mendy, and Franck Kessié from Al-Ahli. This underscores that dreams know no boundaries, and that every orphan has the right to dream and to become a champion of tomorrow.
