Women’s Museum Bait al Banat

Bait Al Banat is a house of historical importance dating from the 1950′s. Its name translates as The Girls House. This project was established by an Emirati woman, Professor RafiaGhubash in order to preserve the history of women in the UAE and to break down stereotypes and reveal the extraordinary role that UAE women have played in defining their culture and shaping their society.

Dubai Miracle Garden

The Dubai Miracle Garden is probably the best place to go to take advantage of the UAE weather. There are thousands of flower species arranged in the most elaborate formations, including the Taj Mahal, BurjKhalifa and Egypt’s pyramids. Next door is a butterfly farm which is a little dated but a great day out for a family in Dubai?

Wild WadiWaterpark: Ladies night

Every Thursday night from 8pm, this impressive waterpark overlooking the Burj Al Arab is open to ladies only. It may take some courage to climb the stairs to take on the park’s crowning glory, the Jumeirah Sceirah, but once you step inside the capsule, there’s no going back: the floor drops straight out from under you. Keep your eyes closed as the waterslide shoots you 120m to the bottom at incredible speed. We promise you’ll laugh so much it hurts!

Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding

Enjoy a traditional Emirati breakfast or lunch at this wonderful centre designed to educate expatriates on the traditions and customs of the UAE. The kids will be fascinated by the huge sharing platters of delicious local foods, sitting cross-legged on the floor and eating with their hands. The meals have a lovely friendly atmosphere and are a great way to learn about authentic Emirati cuisine served Bedouin style. Lunch is hosted every Sunday & Tuesday at 1:00pm. Cultural Brunch every Saturday at 10:30am. Breakfast and dinner also available on certain days.
